There are kits for flush-mounting the tail lights on C5's so there should be a way to do the same thing for the later C4 lights.

The C5 kit is simply some plastic spacers and longer screws. You could use wood, hard rubber or plastic and cut blocks to the proper length, drill a hole thru it and use screws if the right length. Get some weatherstripping that will seal the gaps and you're done.

I'm not familar with later c4 bumpers, it looked as though the rear lights each have 2 screws holding them in and if so I was only guessing someone had some pieced bolted on top of the original lights and just put longer screws in place--I might be wrong, unless the lights are taken off from inside through the license plate area....

Hrmm, perhaps get some spacers to thread the screws through to give it the distance needed and then longer screws, that might work.

unfortunatly i do not think any of these ideas will work because no only does the opening get bigger the further back from teh lens you get( u would need a bigger lens) the top only comes out a very small fraction of an inch past the lens and the bottom goes out a lot further than that so it would not be even or sealed if you simply put in longer screws with spacers

hi there guys,
i installed the euro pean tail light set up on my 1991 vette as i liked the look of the half/half lense set up plus the extra braking and turn signal lights that comes on for better looks and safety!
any way the lights i got from ecklers well they sit nearly flush believe it or not!
now it looks so much better i reackon as the lenses dont sit in as much now!
but also i have noticed guys is that the overall diamater of the lenses is much bigger and there fore fills the holes up more as well!
i am very happy with the tail light conversion idid!
thanks guys
