My purge kits comes with a rather short, and very stiff purge "pipe". I am wondering if I can use some kind of flexible tubing... (maybe they make a very small diameter braided line?)
Is there something out there I can use? Thanks for your help.
you can use nylon tubing that is the same size as your hard line. like oil pressure line from a manual gauge. i know people that have done this and it work fine.

I had a few feet of that in one of my other cars. I ran it from the purge solenoid around the inside of the fender (I had a hidden install) then out the front grill.
Just make sure wherever you put the purge, that the exit end of the tube clears any painted surfaces when its purging.
I am not sure where I am going to do it on the Vette when I get the kit reinstalled. I was thinking the side gills or one in each front fog lamp. I will probably get lazy and just purge it up the windshield though

I originally had mine exiting out both sides of the fenders with the solid tubing. I just rerouted it last weekend to the windshield. It may catch the very edge of the hood with a little spray from underneath. Does it hurt the paint over time?
I could swear I read that the NHRA now requires the purge to come out the top of the car...of course, this would be for events only but just throwin' you the 411...

hmm.. Thanks for the info. Do you think the windshield would be sufficient?

I have HEARD it can, but don't know for a fact. I was always advised to make sure the spray it self clears whatever was surrounding it. The extreme cold may do something over time to the paint, plastics, or whaever else is surrounding it.
It sprayed out my front grill on my Tiburon, It cleared it "enough" for me, but some still sprayed across the bumper. i never noticed any damage to it, but also didn't run the nitrous very much.
Putting it in the windshield is better if you want to make sure all the air is out of it lines. Putting it anywhere else is mostly for looks, but you get the obvious benefit of purging the lines too.
Fuzzy -
Out the windshield is where all the pro street cars have theirs mounted, so I would assume this is the "top of the car" and would be safe for the NHRA rules. It's being ejected away from the vehicle, and being in the windshield you can clearly see if any air pockets are coming out or not.
