Default Car moves around under slight throttle.

Hey yall I was hoping someone out there could help me. My 96 coupe moves around slightly when I give it a little bit of throttle. I feel it mostly at 45mph and up. I just had a new converter put in and I had them replace the tranny mount so its not that. It feels like its in the rear of the car. Any ideas?

I think I would take a look at the rear tie rods and make sure there is no play in them and inspect the rest of the rear suspension.

It might be the C Beam bolts. Many notice this under torque.

Wow good thread. I definitely think its in the rear end. I'm thinking about taking it to an alighnment shop and talking to them for they know much more than I do about suspension. Thank you for the help keeps us posted, i bet this is more common the we think.

Tell us about this tranny mount that was replaced. Mount to what? On a corvette, the drivetrain is held as a rigid piece by the C beam. It doesn't have a tranny mount as such. Did the people who did the work speak Corvette?

Aperantly I don't speak vette very well because I was not aware of that. I know other cars will move around if the tranny mount is loose. I had my local chevy dealer put the new converter in and I asked them to replace the little things seels, fluid, & any mounts thinking that might be causing the above problem.
