Default Where to get a headlight motor?

Mine LH's dead nope not the gears, the actual motor.

I ran the test like the manual said, it won't work in either direction. I could make the high & low beams come on, but not the motor.

Mid-America list them new from GM for $299
A rebuild is $169.

I suppose I could take it to a local shop that rebuilds electric motors.

First make sure it works manually. Then take out the assembly and plug it into the other side. If it still doesn't work, It's probably bad. The rebuilt unit cost isn't that bad. Used usually run $120-$150 exchange. My experience is in order of occurance, a.) bad pillets in motor, b.) bad controller (left front wheel well) usually one side goes out. C.) Bad motor.

It works manually which is what I've been doing.

There's also the possibility the wiring has gone wonky.
Last time I washed it the bucket kinda sizzled

BTW Eklers is $40 cheaper for a rebuilt, but a larger core charge

If it's the motor itself I'd pursue the local electric shop alternative. If it's just brushes or something simple like that you're probably looking at $50-75 depending on labor where you live.

Or just buy this guy's motors:
