Its either the pivot pins coming loose (loose loc-tite) or -more likely the aluminum steering column housing bolt holes becoming elongated. A replacement of the the steering column housing is required. The parts may only be available as salvage.
Me too. I called for parts on my 92 the other day to find they are disconinued. After I get the thing apart if I find elongated holes, I'm thinking about reaming them out and putting steel inserts in with permatex sleeve retainer.
You can just change the housing, but you have to remove the column to do it. I have a friend here in Phoenix (with a shop), and he sells the part for $75.
