Ive never heard of a code 16..its not listed in any of my TPI/repair manuals...are you sure its a code 16 and not a 15?
Or maybe its an airbag code or something if the car has one.

According to some info from the http://home.fuse.net/c4/ website, code 16 exists on the 92-96 models. 16 is an "ignition problem". A "direct ignition fault". On other GM cars, 16 refers to an over voltage condition at the ECM, (possible alternator problem), but it probably doesn't apply to the Corvette. I don't have any other info on it. Hope this helps.

It is definitely a code 16. I have the factory service manual and it does call out a code 16. My problem is an intermitten one. The manual calls this out as well. I was hoping someone else had the same problem (sort of) to give me a hand to start. Thanks for the response though.
