You'll need a Dana 44 drive shaft and the support between the tranny and the diff. Robert

or, you can have the D36 shaft cut to fit and the c-beam redrilled.

There is a company here that will sel you a dana44 w/ all the needed goodies as a kit. They are called Exotic Muscle. A quick google search will show you the way.

FWIW I have one of their dana 44's on my car and have had no trouble w/ it.

Steve

Quik,... Robert is that you?

Yeah to save stuffing around, get the driveshaft and c-beam from a 6 speed car. The c-beam from a DANA 36 is 15/16ths of an inch longer than the DANA 44 c-beam. You can drill new holes as Bogus says, but if you have the correct part to start with, its a straight out with the old, and straight in with the new. Much easier.

The easest way is to get the driveshaft and C-Beam from a 6 speed Vette. Then the entire install will be a direct bolton.

The fun part about that is the trans yoke needs to be changed, and a new one is hard to find as chevy want to sell the whole driveshaft to you!

You dont need a new trans yoke, you simply take the current one off the DANA 36 shaft and put it on the DANA 44 shaft. It couldnt be more simple.
