Default stuck hood

The passenger side latch is not releasing I've gone as far as taking the cables out of the handle and pulling the passenger side cable with pliers. Is there any way to get the hood open without buying one of those tools?Any ideas welcomed

Yep, I used a coat hanger. I removed the pass inner fender well, made a hook on the end and stuck her in, viola!

I want to get rid of the latch mechanism all together and put pins in the hood, I htink that would rock.

I noticed that the ease with which my hood releases depends on how the car is parked. Try different inclines or a jack at the corners to see you can use some of that body flex to advantage.
