Aluminum block LT4???
I don't think I'm crazy but....is it possible for a late 1996 LT4 to have an aluminum block??? Far from being an expert, I've had several look at it including my mechanic. Looks like, acts like, could it be aluminum????

Like they said, aluminum heads, not block. I don't think there are any aluminum LT1/4/99 blocks anywhere. The lack of standard distributor mounting and the reverse flow cooling means that the standard aluminum blocks won't work. Maybe with some machining it can work, but I doubt it.
