84 carburated corvette!

saw one for 5k,are they anygood?

It was converted to a carb. All 84's left the factory with a crossfire efi set up. Some like the carb conversions and some do not. I have not been watching prices lately. If the car is clean, I guess 5k sounds ok.

he was full of it thou,he said it was dynoed at 500hp but it had stock exhaust,hmmm,and he said it was hooked up for a 750 hp shot

i was thinking of trading him mine,wich has 60k miles,35 miles on new 355 motor but bad tranny(throw out bearing) only thing wrong besides that is the rear of my car has no gloss to it,no door panels,vac leak,and thats about it,i just dont want to buy or trade in for a bigger pos then mine,but this car has a new paint,rear wing and a nicer interior with 97k miles on the clock,but his headlights dont flip up(bad motors)what should i look out for?

Well if he ever used the 750 shot I'd walk away. Personally I'd consider walking away anyway. I'm quite skeptical that someone is putting out 500 HP w/ stock exhaust.

Are the heads stock? If so he's nowhere near 500. You already know he is a liar... do you really want to deal w/ a known liar?
