no. It's simply too tall.

The mini ram will fit, so will the super ram.

Some have modified the plenum to fit, but it looks like a lot of work to me.

Bogus, not to bust your reply, but the HSR (modified version) will fit under a C4 hood with no problems... See mine below:

The key here is MODIFIED. He asked if the HSR would fit, and stock, it won't. As stated above, is it worth the work to make it fit?

With all the other options out there, I don't see the value in modifying it.

FYI,
You are correct when you say a stock HSR won't fit under the hood. You are incorrect implying its alot of work to make one work.
I have less cash in my HSR with a modified plenum than the cost of plenum & runners (not including the base) for the Super ram. I have about 1/2 as much in it as a new miniram.
I am very happy with mine and it was definately worth it to me.

I may have missed something but I thought the only high performance intakes were mini ram ,super ram, single plane, and stealth. The advantage of the single plane and stealth over the super ram, is the obvious ease of installation and much less likely hood to have a vacumn leak(anyone thats ever had to remove and replace the super ram knows the fun involved.) The super ram provides alot of low end torque but once the single plane and stealth hit about 4000 + rpm theyre gone . I think that for ease of installation and performance these two cant be beat. But when its all said and done its all just a matter of personal preferance. They all perform well.

You can buy the HSR for @ $500 new, w/fuel rails.

Then you can use a plenum from Frank down in FLA for @ $300.

Or you can get a used mini for 900-1000 and not have to worry about too much.

BUT used Miniram's are scarce, and the HSR runners are longer than the MR, reducing the need for gears/stall

If I would have done what TPIS told me to do years ago, I would have bought the MR, and then put 3.7x or 3.9x's or some higher gear into the rear, this makes up for the low end loss and gets you into the usable MR ranges quicker, as I am sure everyone knows by now.

All in all, when you factor in the need for the smaller distributor, and the cost of the HSR and aftermarket plenum and rerouting your fuel lines,,,,, the MR is an easier choice, save the runner length.

Merry Christmas!

Nope, call and ask for Frank the owner, he made several of these but did not sell them all.

Default Hollly stealth ram

Thanks guys for all the good info. The reason I started this thread is because I was going with the ported large tube runner setup. After ordering two bases ,acell and edlebrock and having to return them due to very poor quality I was looking at the stealth ram and it looked like a quality piece. This should probably be on another thread but has anyone had any experience with extrude honeing a stock base .thanks Steve

The super ram provides alot of low end torque but once the single plane and stealth hit about 4000 + rpm theyre gone
The Stealth Ram claims max RPM at 6000.
Quote straight from Holley.
Basic Operating RPM Range: Idle-6,000 RPM
