I'm getting a Nitrous kit after the first of the year and was wanting to see some different pics of where u guys are mounting the bottle. I'm sure the simpliest place is just mounting it in the hatch behind one of the seats but I was just curious to see if anyone was mounting it anywhere else. Thanks!
i mounted it where the spare tire was ,and its up high and out of harms way ,but i did it to hide it people look in the car and theirs no bottle so they think your n/a

ahhh... so if you raced them you wouldn't twel them about the N2O?
thats the ticket, when a guy in a mustang told me he wont race me because it would be a waste of time for him ,then i bet him $100 and i blew his doors off , after the race him and his friends looked in to my car and one guy said "theirs no way in hell hes got nos theirs no bottle"then i said" where they hell are you going to put it theirs no room anywhere" with a smile on my face
Is there a cover that goes over where the spare tire is; so that once you put the bottle in you can just place the cover back on so that it's completely concealed???
and another good thing of mounting it under the car in the spare tire well the exhaust /muffler keep the bottle warm ,like a bottle heater ,its kind of a pain to change bottles .but its so cool when no one can find it.you don't think you have much room under their but take a look theirs a lot of room .my little 10 year old nephew was helping put it in and my cars a conv and i thought you cant drop the top with the bottle in the hatch,so he said to me cant you put it under the car so i looked and wat do you know theirs a perfect space where the spare is ,i would of never thought of it because you don't think theirs much room under their so he got $50 for his good idea and i got schooled by a 10 year old
... and my cars a conv and i thought you cant drop the top with the bottle in the hatch,so ...
You can drop the top with it mounted in the cargo area on a roadster. I still have the NOS system on mine, even though it has not been used in this decade.

I've seen guys put it there, but the bottle stick up so you can't close the lid.

Here's a small bottle for just such an application.

I've seen three of them in there.
you can put the cover back on ,but you have to make your own bottle brackets ,the ones you get in the kit do make it hang to low.and the tire cover you have to tweak a bit with longer bolts,or you can easily put two 5 lbs bottles .but those little sneakey pete bottles dont last to long cant see 3 of them lasting more then 1 qtr mile pass.but its still looks cool
Hiding Your Bottle Of Laughing Gas - Isn't A Laughing Matter
OK, I've heard several people over the years ask about and other claiming they put their bottle under the car where the spare tire belongs... Consider this: The spare tire is actually designed for rear impact!!!!! It's designed as part of the car. If it is removed, you are removing a vital part of the car that is designed to help in the event of a rear impact.
As far as the guy racing a "rustang" and the other guy claiming he can't find the nitrous... well, any idiot should be able to find the lines either going direct to port, through a throttle body plate or through a nozzle behind the MAF sensor. So, the Rustang driver made 2 mistakes... racing a vette and not knowing what a N20 line looks like.
Bottom line... I sure as hell wouldn't want to put a nitrous bottle under my car and removing the impact safety of the rear, spare tire.
