Default Seat 1988 Corvette

Need to know how to take out driver side seat back to get upholstery repaired.

There are four clips attached to the fiberglas seat back. There are four corresponding springs on the seat cushion. CAREFULLY pull back the cushion aand you shoud see them. Take a long screwdriver and push the spring (actually a metal rod) out of the clips. Install the same way. Or you could just unbolt the seat and let the shop do it. Be carefull not to pop the clips off the fiberglass back.

standard seats are easy, just feel for those clips and release them. The back will come out.
