I had to change the intake gasket on my Impala SS LT1. Of course it was on the weekend and when I get the manifold off I notice the "I'm right, the customer is wrong" parts man has sold me the wrong gasket.
The gasket came off very clean, one small tear between the 2/4 ports, so I had to re-use the old gasket.
I've noticed my oil consumption has gone up all of a sudden, about 1 quart in 7-800 miles.
Is the engine sucking oil under load at this spot in the intake? Would it foul the 2/4 plugs?
Are you seeing a blue-black smoke coming out of your exhaust? Perhaps oil traces on the engine? Worse....oil and water mix.
No, but the dark tint on the windows doesn't help you to see that colour either......Anti freeze level is the same. But there shouldn't be any AF/water showing because they don't go into the intake.
