Just want to know what you all think about intake options on a c4. The stock box looks way too restrictive.
My plan is to put on the FIPK that I had on a 98 Z28. I plan to use the air bridge from a c5, stock or aftermarket. Anybody ever try this? Or is there a better option out there?
I've been thinking about a cold air system for a long time. Cold air will definately help, but I don't want to cut holes anywhere in the body. The shroud is okay but I've been looking for something that won't take away from radiator flow (if any) and something that will grab colder, cleaner air rather than the warm, dirty air being scooped up off the road by the radiator spoiler. I think a C5 bridge will help some as long as it will fit between the hood and rad shroud. Let us know what you come up with.

I agree, I am definitely not going to cut anything. However, if I were to run across a shroud at a salvage yard or swap meet, I might cut a hole in it. I think there's plenty of air in the cavity. The real question is what will the manifold do with the air?
There was a really good tech post that made a comparison of the stock intake vs. K&N w/cut lid vs. the Claw vs. one other. The results showed that the best bang for the buck was the K&N setup with minimal gain with the other add-ons. Needless to say, I've modified my lid with a K&N.
