Happy Newyears Everyone. I Have A 1985 Vette With The Tpi And I Was Would Like To Know If There Is A Way To Remove The Iat Without Taking The Top Part Of The Tpi Loose I Can See It Clearly But Not Sure How To Get It Out.

IAC?

It's under the throttle body. Easiest way to remove it is to take the throttle body off.

IAT/MAT. On my '88 this is screwed into the bottom of the plenum. You might be able to get at it, there's not much room. You could unplug it and leave it there if it's bad. The run wire and mount a new one in the air filter shroud.

Oh, the MAT. Yes, it's under the plenum. I haven't tried to take it out with the plenum still atached. I did however tried to connect the connector with the plenum on and it was a bastard. I would just take the plenum off to get to it and clean up around the intake manifold while your there.

Should run ok...it's not used for anything on a MAF car....but you'll get a "Service Engine" light....unless you remove it from the prom...
