I've been wondering the same thing. I have thought about getting a new tach with a shift lite. I'm also trying to figure out where to put the tach. Let us know how it turns out......

I have the "Street-Tach" mounted on the steering column over the factory tach using a large hose clamp and it mounts just fine. I am still looking for the tach wire under the dash. Thanks for the info. (I never thought about mounting it in the center of the dach like the photo, but looks like it works).

Look for the main connection box, C-100, under the dash panel. The link below is for installing a shift light, but is what I followed.

I put a Harlan Shift Light in the AC vent along with the mini-tach. It is visible in the left corner of the vent.
