I realized that when you step on it hard from a start, the transmission does not shift to second when it is supposed to. The RPMs come up way too high, and i have to let off the gas so it can shift. I was wondering if this gets adjusted by the TV Cable, or if i have to change my governor, which is much harder I assume. Also, if it is the TV Cable, does anybody know the proceedure to do this?
i was told to mash the button in on the tv cable and slide it all the way close then mash it again then get in the car and mash the gas pedal to the floor and it should be adjusted right. when i first put my transmission that is what i had to do and it worked for me.
Ok, I looked at it more closely. The WOT 1st to 2nd shift is good, I thought it shifted too high but thats fine. I wasnt happy with the part throttle shifts tho. It used to go from 1st to 2nd at about 8mph, and when i came around turns at about 20-25, it would go into a gear thats too high, and the car would feel like its struggling (i think it goes to 4th). So i played with the TV Cable, and now it shifts at like 9-11. I was wondering what speed its supposed to shift at. Any suggestions?
Oh, i forgot, when I first started with the TV Cable, I did the reset proceedure where u press in the button hold it and floor the gas pedal. That was not so good for me. It shifted way too late, and most of the time it didnt want to come out of first gear.
