Anyone use these brakes from http://www.stainlesssteelbrakes.com ? They look mean but are they worth the extra $600 over a C5 or big brake upgrade?

well a 4 piston caliper will always have its advantages over a 2 pison floating caliper and wheter or not its worth the extra money will really depend on how you plan to use your car. To be competative in racing you would definately want to go with the Force 10, if you are just cruising the local hangout spot friday night you probably sould never need the extra braking power over C5 or J55, or if you got the cash and just want to be different then force 10

I looked at them. They have two four piston calipers. If I remember correctly, one has 43 mm pistons and one has 48 mm pistons. Both come with a new master cylinder and rotors.
That's right. One is a 43 mm 4 piston setup and the other is 48mm with 4 pistons. The GS system is twin 38mm pistons and the C5 had twin 40mm. Anyway you look at it they are LARGE. The first system is $1200 complete and the second is $1400. They claim a 60-0 of 93 feet with the second system. Has anyone used it? Is it worth the $$$? Can you use Eradispeed rotors with the calipers?
Thanks

If I am not mistaken, the design of the calipers is almost exactly like the '65 through '82 Corvette calipers, except the Force 10 calipers are made of aluminum.
When you think about it, for $1200, the Force 10 setup gives you more for your money than the C5 upgrade from Vette Brakes for $1000. However, with the Vette Brakes setup, you could probably buy replacement parts locally.
