LT1 - LT4 upgrade ???

If I go with the LT4 Hot Cam Is it worth it to switch out my LT1 heads for the LT4 Heads ??? I realize I would need to switch to an LT4 intake manifold also.

If you've got the money, then doing all of that would yield good power. However, use the search function on this website as there are a vary degree of opinions on what head/cam setup is the best. The Hotcam kit is tried and true, but there are other options out there. I'm sure others will chime in with their experience and recommendations.

I have seen a lot of threads here stating that the LT4 Manifold is very hard to come by. That alone might be the question, can you get one?

I would just have your stock heads ported, and a custom cam to match the heads.

Ported LT1 heads are far superior to unported LT4 heads, and will cost way less than the current price of LT4 heads+intake.

A search will reveal many threads on the subject...
