Diacom + new laptop without parallel port
I have heard that you can buy a USB to parallel lead , but the question is will it work, I have spoken to Rinda but they are not sure and said that they will have to get back to me, so I thought that I would post my little problem here to see what you guys think
TIA
Adrian

I've been using Diacom for many years and have found nothing but problems with newer computers, even those with parallel ports. I have a several year old COMPAQ Presario 17XL365 with 700Mhz PIII that works and that is the fastest I've been able to get connected. My Toshiba Satellite with 2.4 Ghz PIV will not. The software obviously runs, just no connection. I've gone so far as to create a DOS boot disk with Diacom installed and still can't get a link.
So I guess, you'll have to suck it and see. I've never tried a USB-Parallel converter with Diacom, but if my past experience is anything to go by, if the machine is faster than 1 Ghz you may be out of luck.
Please post your findings.

to hear though.
