Default LT-4 Fuel pressure

What's the stock fuel pressure for an LT-4?

I'm running lt-4 stock injectors on my modded '86... running VERY rich (eyes tear from exhaust quickly) and it's at like 42 or 44 psi

If I remember correctly it's 43-45lbs, so it sounds like you're running the proper pressure for those injectors. Those injectors were rated at 28 lbs, and I believe your stock injectors were rated at 22 lbs. Have you hooked a scanner or any tuning software up to get an idea of the AFR?

No, not yet - but the engine has less than 100 miles, the plugs are black, and the exhaust is ridiculously rich

Hey Doc,

I think your PCM controls your injector pulse on your '86? If so, you'd need a PCM tune regardless of your fuel pressure?

Yes, I had a chip burned from TBIchips.com or something.. i had the guy burn me a copy of the chip that another forum member uses with success on a pretty much identical combination
