HELP I have a 92 coupe that the IRL stays on after starting. When chaecking for the problem I come up with codes 32 and 41. I have been to two different dealers and thay both say there is nothing Wrong. I say to that Diagnosis, but to no avail. I have searched the forum for a like problem ,but came up with nothing. I have both service manuals and they point to a grounding problem. Do any of you ladies and gentelmen out there have a solution for me. I might add that this Vette has never been wrecked or damaged in anyway whatso ever.

it has to do with the crash sensors on left and right side of frame, you will need to take them off and clean the frame then take dielectic grease and coat surfaces, i did mine but light came right back on so i just bought me a insert for the info panel and put black tape over light. this is a very common prob with these cars hope this helps ps if you look in tech section there is a write -up on how to fix them
I am in the tech area and when I search there is no other infor mation. Maybe in some other forum area. I'll keep searching. I will try your sugestion though.
OK: I found the tech area that you were talking about. It doesn't pretain to the codes that come up on mine, but I'm still going to do what you and the tech site suggest as it does seem to be a grounding problem.
My 93 showed the same infl rest light. This was right after I replaced the steering column. The easiest way to troubleshoot if the problem is inside the car is to temporary install a 2 ohm resistor in the airbag connector at the bottom of the steering colum. If the light goes out, then it's probably a faulty clock spring or a faulty wire going up the column. If the light remains on, then it's probably the air bag sensor under the hood....
Here is some pictures. The 1st shows the Airbag connector and the VATS connector. The 2nd show the various connectors on the column. The 3rd shows the clock spring which is under the Air bag.
Thank you Quasar99. I'm going to give it a try along with what 93*Corvette showed me in his response. You both have been a big help. Hopefully it will work for me. This is really an outstanding Vette and this is the only problem it has. Thanks again.
