Default fuel injectors

hi, i just had my 89 corvette engine rebuilt and am about to put it back in. i want to replace the fuel injectors since they have 156,000 on them. my question is what fuel rate should i go with. the car is stock but i am planning to do a few mods in the future. what is the stock flow rate should i go with stock or higher? future plans for mods would include exaust, intake, and possibly a chip. Are accel injectors any better than stock? thank you for your time.

Default inj.

if you were going to put a high flow base on it now, i would go with 24#ford injs. that is what i am doing if no base i not sure about 24# i think stock is 22 not may cf members are accell users bosh makes a pink top 22 that is very good i am sure someone else will speak up or do a search for injs.

In a stock 89, you have 22# Multecs. Yes, replace them with 22# of a different brand. Sam Lam will clue you in. Though if those are the stock injectors....looks like you got very good use out of them.

Please do not use Accels!

Too many issues!

Ford SVO's are good

Not good advice for the planned mods.

The 22's can be programmed for a longer pulse. The 24's will be problematic. Just ask RRT vette.

I bought a set (22's) off of ebay from five0motorsports for around $200 and Alvin did the tune. What a difference!

For just bolts-ons stick with stock size.

Accel are widely reported to suck.

Some C4 owners are running these with good results. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku I would suggest an AFPR also. I'm running 24lb injectors in my L98. I did the AFPR and a chip. Mine are accels. I guess I was lucky, No problems. At the time I didn't know that Ford injectors could be run in a L98. I would suggest the Fords. Some members have had problems with fiveomotorsports. They sell rebuilts and used injectors. For a few dollars more you can buy new Fords.

That sounds too high for 22lb injectors. I would either check fiveomotorsports or the FMS injectors. It would save you alot and be good injectors. Or you can send yours to cruiznperformance.com.
