ZF6 fluid change
Just a few observations on changing the fluid in a ZF6
1.The depth of the indentation where the 17mm hex fits in is very shallow Make sure this is cleaned out first. I used a small flathead
Ive seen posts here about stripping out the plug, I suspect that may be why
2.I used a length of hose about 3 feet long to refill
I ran it down between the engine and firewall and put a funnel on the end in the engine bay and just stuck the other end in the hole
I used garden hose The smaller diameter hose works better and I flushed it out with oil first
Clear tubing would also work
I have a pump but what a PITA
I followed the advice Ive gotten here such as making sure the fill plug would come off before taking out the drain and having the car level etc.
