Gear ratio codes for C4???

There are codes such as GM1, GM3 etc..... What are they? How to know which is which? What is my car gear ratio if it has the code GM3?

i beleive gm3 is the warp core code. You are lucky. Should do 0-warp9 in a flash of light.

GM3 = AXLE REAR, 3.45 RATIO
G92 = AXLE REAR RATIO, PERFORMANCE (versus Economy)
Sorry, no usefull info on the G92.
You should have another code that will get you specifics.

The G92 option is the performance axle for automatics only. 84-91 3.07 to 1, after 91 I don't know.

Some standards also had a rare G92. Anyways, G92 is GM's universal code for a performance axle ratio. C4, C5, F-bodies, G-Bodies, trucks all using this code for a optional performance axle ratio. It doesn't correlate to any particular ratio, unless you know what the option ratio were for that year.
