No problem. Besides the tools, I am reading this as only the pins need to be bought. If its the housing though, I may just get a re-manufactured one, so let the repairs begin.

Where can you get a remanufactured steering column?

I emailed Kerry Jamison and he gave me a direct email to a company that does nothing but steering columns.

I looked up the materials to fix that comes with the pins etc from the link. GM part # 26010580 for 64.00 at GMpartsdirect? Does this sound fair.

The price isn't bad, but why not buy from Chris May at Superior Chevrolet. He's been great at helping me get parts for years now, including steering column parts.

I'd try just the pins first, but it's likely that the housings are worn as well and will need replacement. I think the spring in the kit is worthless, but the pins are a pretty easy swap if you take your time. I'm replacing the housings but I'm stuck until I can find a 1" shaft retainer to replace the one I need to cut off so I can pull the steering shaft to replace the lower housing.

Speaking of Chris, he just emailed me in regards to the part I thought I needed. The 26010580 is more than I need, and he recommended the Pin Kit 26059718 which is cheaper put has all the parts I need. I did ask what the 26010580 has in it, maybe it has something I may want, but to repair the column he recomended just the pin kit.
