87 has rumble on hard acceleration
I've had this 87 automatic for a year with no problems, but it is now making a rumble, feels and sounds like running over wake up grooves, when I start out. Don't have to break traction, just hard acceleration. I noticed it first making right turns and stomping on it. Now it does it any time. Seems to be either right before or when it shifts into 2nd gear. Stops as soon as I let up, slightly. I've been reading the forum for about 6 months, and have gotten some great advice on many concerns. Sure would like some advice,

I cant say what it is...but maybe try and adjust the TV cable again and see if that helps.Check what color the tranny fluid is, and be sure it isnt dark.If its real dark or smells burnt, yo mayneed to do a service on it.Sometimes changing the fluid and filter helps it.
ALso if youre not sure of its life, change the rear end fluid.

Don't know how to adjust the TV cable. Checked the trans fluid and it looks normal and does not smell burned. The noise seems to come more from rear of car, but only when shifts into 2nd gear. That is what makes me worry about the transmission. Need to find a good place to take it that knows Vetts. Anyone have anyone in northeast TN?

I had the same problem on hard acceleration past 85mph, not at low speeds though, wake up grooves is the same exact feeling, alot of people said the tires were shot and out of round, had them balanced several times, i just bought some new ones, but the car is not up and running yet, maybe this weekend i'll find out
