I know that I may have an idea that's way out there and stupid to do but installing c5 front brakes on the rear of a c4 would look nice. Especially with those who have the c5 front setup. But the front caliper does not have a manual lever like that of the rear caliper to apply the parking brake.
Does anyone have an idea on how a parking brake can be used with c5 front brakes on the rear? Anyway of modifying the brake line and installing a new fluid line strictly for the parking brake.. Like that of a motorcycle or an atv?
It is possible to run the brake line to the rear thru a second master cylinder connected to the parking brake handle.
The master cylinder should be a single circuit with remote reservoar like this one used on motorcycles:
With the parking brake released the master cylinder is an open valve. Any pressure from the foot brake will go straight thru to the rear calipers.
When you apply the parking brake the piston inside closes the passage coming from the foot brake and apply pressure to the rear calipers.
This works but it is not leagal.
The parking brake must be a mechanical brake that is separated from the hydraulic brake.

Wilwood, sells a manual caliper, there's a lever on it. I've got a set, forget the part#. All you need is a mount, and hook it up to the stock cable. One of the forum vendors used to sell a bracket for it, Doug Rippie? Exotic Muscle?
