Does anyone know where I can get a new one for my 94 or I will have to get a used one and find someone to fabricate a new one for me?
Here in the UK this would be very hard to do.Is there anyone in USA who do make a new one if I bought one from a wrecker in USA and had it shipped to them could make a new one
Help please..I cant be the only one looking for late parking brake front cable

Youre not talking about a cable to go to the front wheels are you?
If you are its over by the headlight fluid
A parking brake cable can usually be saved if its not broken
Penetrating oil should do it
I am assuming that you are talking about the cable that attaches to the handle
You may want to make that more clear
If you are unable to locate a new one, your best bet would be to contact anyone that is dismantling a 89 to 96 and asking them. I just converted one of my 85s to 96 brakes and in order to make the parking brake functional the entire lever & cable system had to be changed. I got lucky and found a complete set of used cables on ebay. I also saw where someone on the forum had a front cable listed, but when I saw it, it was already sold. I am sure more of them will turn up if you are patient.

I saw another post you made but I neglected to read it I just looked up in my parts book and I have a GM part number of 10113015 (front Cable ASM) which includes a connector and intercable when you put this part number in GMpartsdirect it pops up and says List is $38.09 and their price is $22.58 is this the info you had, I was able to add it to the cart but I did not go further than that, everything I find at GMpartsdirect is always at my local dealer in which I am good friends with, you want me to call him tomorrow and see if he can get this part? I hope I am not way off base with this info.
Have emailed Partsamerica to check wether this is the actual cable needed as it a very low price compared to every other vendor but they are unable to confirm that it is the cable I need nor are they able to supply a photo..makes me suspicious. I am checking out partsladi now
Thanks

Hi Folks
Well I am now out of ideas...NOBODY actually has a cable ( front parking brake ) for a 94. All the suggested places here above have been emailed or phoned and result is NO.
Does anyone know of a company who could make a copy?
The old cable WILL not free up enough to work ok, it has a slight kink in it ( maybe hit something in road) so it must be a new one. I have looked on ebay but no new ones are there( even partsladi no good ).
If I cant get one made i,ll have to get a salvaged one. But getting it shipped over to UK costs more than the part is worth and if its no good then im doubly stuffed!
Thanks for guidance on this

John,
I actually tried to order that cable from Parts America just two days ago. I am not sure but I think is is the short cable (about 12" long) that ties the rear cables together. Anyway it does not matter. The next day I received an email tellling me that they were unable to find a supplier for the item that I ordered and therefore could not fill my order. That is the only thing that I am missing for my conversion but I am sure that I can make something that will work.
lol

Hi Folks
Just to let you know that after 2 months of searching and waiting that the front parking brake cable has now been manufacturerd by Mid America and is in stock. I have one! Fits my 94 a treat. This is the cable from handle to junction at rear nearside wheel and includes the "S" shaped metal tube.
Cheers all
