Default Driveability Problems remain...

I installed the new Crane Adj Regulator (It was free thanks Crane) And noticed a significant increase in power output. However, after the car runs for a very short while, the car goes back into a very poor running mode. At around 1000-2000 rpms, I will have the car at say 15% throttle, yet the car will rev in and out, speeding and slowing. Its not very noticable and once I hit around 2000 the car pulls REALLY hard, its very impressive. However, Its off the line especially after long idles. Also, initially the car will still die, when out of gear, I rev the motor up, or even sometimes when I put the car in reverse or drive ( again initially, never gives many problems after warming up except that idle can get very rough and almost SHAKY) I need to set the fuel pressure perfectly, so Im curious what everyone is running. I have a inline gage in the mail, and will set it however is suggested. Also is tightening or loosening increase the pressure? Aside from that the car is running really good. I still have the smoke at startup, but Ill leave that alone till the car runs perfectly. Im also faced with maybe having to learn how to burn my own chips, as no one locally seems to know how, and no one through the mail seems to be exceptional. Ideas are GREATLY appreciated.

Car goes back to the way it was before because.........the ecm figures out that the injectors flow more fuel (because of fuel pressure increase) and compensates for the increase. This is why AFPRs are a waste of money.

You really need a tuner to burn a chip for you and buy a scanner. Without these you have very little chance of gettign your car to run right. I don't mean to be nasty since I have been there but I can't see how anyone can help you without any real data.

Well I figure if I buy the cables advertised on Third gen and the net as well as some proven software for scanning, Ill have more info and can go from there about burning the chip.
