92-96 non-engine performance mods?
I'm planning on buying a 92-96 corvette this summer, and for budgeting purposes, wanted to know some worthwhile modifications to do. I'm mainly concerned with handling, as the ones I've driven felt kind of mushy around the turns.
I'm planning on putting an LS7 ('07 C6 engine) into it in a year or two, so I want to focus on non-engine stuff right now. But I'd also be interested in cheap engine mods.
Not really looking for anything in particular (except suspension), just anything that's good to improve on these cars. Thanks.

Other than that, doing a gear swap and making the car lighter will help.
As for the LS7 engine....if your goal is 500 HP, it would be much easier to buy a Golen 396 LT4 with 520HP for much much less than a new LS7 plus all of the installation hassles.
I'm coming from a 2002 honda civic, where there's so much information on what to get its ridiculous, so going to an older car its kind of hard to find information on what things perform well. Thanks everybody.

Bilsteins are good, or you can get adjustable shocks from QA1 or Koni. There are polyurathane bushing kits available. Bigger sway bars, are avilable, and you can get adjustabl;e heim joint end links. http://exoticmuscle.com
You can also do a conversion to a coilover shock set up... but please do a search and read up before you post a question on this... there are strong opinions on both sides of this fense.
Depending on how deep you want to go into it, how much money you want to spend and if you Vette is going to see any serious track time. You can get adjustable suspension parts: trailing arms, toe rod, etc...
Check out http://www.r-dracing.com/ for porducts to help stiffen up the chassis.
I own a Mitsubishi Eclipse as well... let me tell you the best thing about driving the Vette compared to the 4 banger... TORQUE!

You can help good tires even more by going to a slightly-wider wheel, as well.Sending the driver to a good performance driving school will probably net the greatest benefit/cost ratio.
