In '87 12,662 of 30,632 Vettes came with the RPO Z52 "Sport Handling Package" which included:
-same suspension (spring rates) as base model
-radiator boost fan
-Bilstein shocks
-engine oil cooler
-heavy-duty radiator
-16.5"x9.5" wheels
-faster 13:1 steering ratio
-larger front sway bar
-vert inspired structual improvement ("X" brace??)
The RPO Z51 "Performance Handling Package" (coupes only) had the Z52 items plus:
-finned power steering cooler
-heavy duty suspension (stiff springs & shock rates)

J55's required a 17" wheel. I don't think they were available until 1989 maybe later.

Best I can find 1990 is the first year of the J55. Maybe my source is wrong though.
