has anyone tried or heard about ebc rotors and pads. i'm thinking either that or power slots. i also need to know what pads would be best. ebc makes a ceramic called red stuff and 2 composites, green or yellow. does anyone know about cryo treated rotors

What year is your Vette? If you could, fill out some info in your profile, so we can help you better.

With that said, I have had great success with NAPA OEM rotors and Hawk HPC pads. I have a 1992 with big brakes.

Power slot or any kinda drilled rotor is simply a look thing, and do little to improve performance. I have used EPC pads, and they are pretty good, but they wear quicker than most and are very dusty.

I had EBC redstuff pads on my previous car and they glazed over and dusted quite a bit. I didn't have glazing problems with any other pads on that car either(some more, and some less aggressive.) Porterfield makes a good performance street pad called the R4S that's a carbon-kevlar base. They dust very little, don't eat rotors, and are totally quiet. They're also reasonably priced.

I can't say anything bad about the EBC rotors as I've never owned them, but I've heard good things about Powerslot rotors.

Hope this helps.

Rotor and pads combinations are a trade off. Softer pads tend to dust alot but have great stopping power, i.e. Hawk HPS. On the other hand, pads like AutoZone PFC's Z rated, don't dust much, don't ware much, but you give up stopping power. Choose your poison.
