Im close to 400hp at the crank. And I run the stock fuelpump. I got no dip in fuelpressure when i hammer it. Am I running on "borrowed" time with the stock pump? Anyone else that run the stock pump and 400Chp?
And is the lt1 pump more powerfull then a stock l98 pump?
Our pump is a constant volume unit so I don't think there is a "borrowed time" issue here. Rather it's a matter of how much of the flow goes to the injectors and how much is returned to the tank.
If running under 50psi, you might bump fuel pressure to say 55psi and make a WOT run to see if pressure holds. That would tell you if there is plenty of reserve flow.
