Default Thanks/Steering problem

I've learnd a lot on this site and I'd like to say thanks to all who have given me advice. I'd like to present a new problem. My 1991 seems to sort of "wave" or "float" from side to side @ times when I drive it. It happens mostly on the freeway. It's not like a pull that you would get when the tires are low on air pressure. It's more like the steering shaft kind of turning (very suttle) on it's own. It first goes to the right (passenger side) then to the left (drivers side) and it does not happen all the time. I've already changed bottom ball joints and all front end bushings. I've rebuilt the the steering column as well. The top ball joints are in better than good shape. Any ideas?

If your inflation is at 35psi, get a 4-wheel alignment.

Mine did that when I bought it. Sometimes subtle as you say, sometimes more than subtle, depending on the smoothness of the road.

Turned out that the drivers side sway bar mount was unbolted. One bolt was gone and the other backed out quite a bit. Turned out the bracket wasn't even the right one, but I shimmed it up and tightened it down, problem gone.

4 wheel alignment's been done. I'll check out the sway bar.
