Default Plugging LT1 EGR

What do you use to plug the holes after removing EGR?

Thanks

I bought a plate for the larger hole from thunder racing. For the smaller one I cut the pipe out of the stock plate and put a nickle in it. I have also seen them being sold on ebay regularly. My headers were not drilled out but some people use some type of brass plug to fill those holes.

Default Why?

Why would you eliminate the EGR? What drivability issues do you have with it installed as opposed to taking it out?

Certain cams eliminate the need for EGR. Removing it keeps the inside of the intake manifold clean. It also reduces weight and clutter in the engine compartment. Removing it with a stock cam is said to increase detonation although I and others have not experienced this.

Stock exhaust manifolds. What type of plug for those and back of intake?

I just traced the outline on a piece of 3/8 inch aluminum plate and cut them out with a hacksaw, and dressed them up with a file.
