It's supposed to increase the power curve (beyond the norm) when your throttle is at (I believe) 80% maximum. Save yourself the money and put it toward something worthwhile (headers, exhaust, cam, etc.).

It's discussed in the FAQ at the top of this page.

All it does is turn 80% into 100% throttle (as the computer sees it.) And the throttle blades on the throttle body are still only open 80%. If you really want 100% throttle all you have to do is push the pedal further, and you can save yourself from buying this switch.

That switch seems worth it vs having to push the extra 1.8" of pedal travel.

If you buy 2 would that make it go full throttle at 60%? What about 6 of these units? Sitting at a stop sign and when the light turns green the cars leaps to a 60' time of 1.7 seconds without any driver input. Hopefully you aren't behind some Minivan. AWESOME.

I would only recommend it if your legs are too short to reach the floorboards.

Haha, nice!

One was on the car when I bought it... it was removed as soon as I saw it.

Useless. Waste of money. I had one . It did absolutely nothing other than lighten my wallet.

Somwhere near the end of the second page. It's also listed in the first post in that thread under the heading, "Mods that don't work."

Edit: Post # 58 is where the throttle switch is proven useless.

I put one on my Vette. Added a couple of decals on the windows too.
My Vette MUCH faster now.
Part of the increase is coming from the airfoil I added so it wasn't all the TPS switch.
MAN!! I tell ya, some of these aftermarket parts are just AWSOME!!

I'm planning on adding a 'Tornado' to mine also, soon as I can figure out how to hem one up and get it to stick to my Vette.

Want more hp out of your vette? spent real money and buy real performance parts and get your hands dirty or pay someone to do it for you.

Wow! We think just alike. I got the airfoil and window decals already and now it dynos 405 at the wheels. Bet the TPS will take me over 500 hp and down to 10 second times. Sweet!

Ok, I am having some fun here now. I had some left over motorcycle helmet flames, put them on took pictures and then posted them here.
You should have seen the comments!

Today it looks like this:

Motocycle flames????????
Dayum, that's GOT to be the best'uns. Got anymore? I need a few more HP myself.
Some of the best mods are 'bolt on'. Even better are the 'stick on' mods.

Danged, that's a FINE LOOKING Vette. Those wheels are beautiful too. I like the sawblades but the 5 spokers make a C4 look 'just right'.
It looks like it's doing about 125 just sitting there.

Hey! I just noticed we are neighbors.
