something is loose! my stick moved everytime i stepped on the gas, it is my first vette i thought this must be normal. finally (year later) clutch failed, took the car in and the tech said the bolts were coming out of the bell housing. new clutch and tight bolts AND THAT STICK DON'T MOVE!!!!!

Might also want to check that your driveline support beam bolts are torqued to spec. I understand that if these are loose, the shifter may move under acceleration.
