Default Break question

I have a '90 with stock breaks. I have looked through the shop manual but cannot find a torque spec for the caliper bolts. Anyone know how much to torque these down? Also is there any special anti-seize or lube required for the bolts? It looked like there was something on the bolts when I removed them. Again I could not find anything in the manual about it.

Thanks

If you tried a search try it with the correct spelling you might find something

per my 85 service manual, caliper bolts are 22-25 lb-ft. i would think it's the same for a 90. don't use anti seize, as they are self locking - you either want to use new hardware, or clean the existing bolts and use a thread locker, e.g. locktite.

The caliper to mounting bracket bolts can be torqued to 22-25 ft-lbs. While the FSM says to toss the old bolts and install new ones, it's because that new bolts have a pre-applied threadlocker. Simply clean off the old bolt threads with a wire brush and apply a coat of Fel-Pro BLUE threadlocker. It wouldn't hurt to chase the female threads in the mounting brackets too.

DO NOT use the RED threadlocker as it requires heat to release the compound!

If you have to remove the caliper mounting brackets (to pull the rotors for example) those large bolts are torqued to about 150 ft-lbs. The FSM says to toss these bolts too but cleaning the threads and re-applying BLUE threadlocker is fine. I have re-used the large bolts on my 87 for at least 5 times now with no problems.
