Extra inlet/outlet on newpump

In doing my Opti I thought I should replace the water pump and thermostat as both have been on at least 5 years. In hooking up the hoses I noticed an outlet on the bottom passenger side of the pump. Now my stock one didnt have this. Its the second pump Ive had to get as the first was cast real bad.
The part number is Fenco P1561.
Anone know if this oulet can be bloked and run as I dont want to get another pump to put on it if i dont have to. Ideas?

My 92 Lt1 does not have the extra outlet. Have no idea what year your car is, so unless someone else can chime in. I suggest getting the correct water pump!

Sounds like you may have gotten an F body pump instead of a Corvette pump. There is a difference.

Did a little checking and found that the later lt1's had the extra outlet on the water pump. I think you can use it but you'll have to use an 95 or 96 upper hose and eliminate the tee used on the early lt1's.
