Header hints
I am going to put my headers on today, anybody got some helpful hints?
Like how to get the bolt by #8 off and what I have to remove and what I can leave on?
I soaked all the bolts in penetrating oil last night.

Using the stock exhaust from behind the cats back, can you bolt the drivers side header straight to the exhaust or do you have to cut back the pipe?
Can I drop the exhaust by myself or do I have to have help?
I have a floor jack.

You'll have to shorten and narrow the stock cat-back's front tubes to work with headers.

Soaked it in penetrating oil and worked it free with a big wrench

Cutting will be needed as stated above.
You can drop the exhaust by yourself pretty easily. You need to get the car as high as safely possible on 4 jackstands to make the job easier. An assortment of universals, extensions, long, and short sockets will get all the bolts off ok. Plenty of beer will make the job more fun, that and thinking of how cool it iwll sound when you are done.

Can I use high temp gasket sealer on the headers?
Want to make sure I have a good seal.

Just get em on straight, and get those bolts in STRAIGHT and tight, and you should be good to go, they might need a re-torque after the car heats up.

Careful not to bend it and snap it off... otherwise you're pulling the oil pan to replace it.
