Default ecm change

i have a 91 with a 383. i am having trouble getting it tuned. i heard about something that i can use to replace the stock ecm. it is supposed to make tuning easier. it can just be changed with out burning a new chip. someone help me with this a want to drive the vette this spring and my chip tune sucks......thanks

1st i'd contact Alvin at: www.pcmforless.com and have HIM make a chip for you, you won't be sorry, 2nd: visit www.moates.net for parts and supplies for your chip setup, like dual chips with switch control (not having to R&R the chip, just turn the switch to go from stock to performance)... check it out

i have tried the chip route and was not happy. don't want to make waves with the "chip" guys. just interested in a different way to run the vette

Only way using stock parts would be to go to pre '90 MAF style.
MAP has to be spot on to run right whereas MAF is more flexible to adjustments on account of directly measuring air flow.Down side is you have to place the MAF sensor ahead of the TB creating a "restriction"
