Undo bolts attaching it to water pump and keep for 50 years as collectors item.
May have to put a washer on each bolt as spacer if bolts too long.
Doubt you will see any SOTP improvement but anything that removes unwanted mass from the engine rotating assembly is generaly considered good.

Removing the "frisbee" won't un-balance anything, right?
No bad things ever happened from removing it?

I've never heard of anyone having a problem after removing the frisbee.
Removed mine and all was ok until I turned on my ac. Severe vibrations when I hit 2200 rpm. Put it back on and all was ok. I have heard that it affects some cars and not others. Guess I was one of the unlucky ones.

Had you checked the related A/C Compressor mounting brackets and the tensioner?? Did you check condition of the serp?
Gordon did tell me that an engineer once found A/C Compressor vibration after they went to the new style compressor in '88; so the installed the frisbee to dampen the belt acceleration.
