Re: 87 Cruise Control Problem, any ideas?? (TIMSPEED)
Could be the Cruise control servo(about $220) located above the battery resembles a ufo, or could be a vacuum problem. Check and see if you have the big black vacuum ball in the driver's side front by the headlights and that the vacuum line from the servo is connected. :seeya :flag
Re: 87 Cruise Control Problem, any ideas?? (TIMSPEED)
on my '85 there was a vacuum hose that runs to the brake pedal switch that had rotted out. It runs under the master cylinder through the firewall. I replaced it with some fresh vacuum hose and it worked again.
Hey scorp, does your cruise seem to pulse? Say I set it to 70 mph it'll back off to 69 and add some gas and go at 70 for a while then back off to 69 yada yada..

My '85 did that.... but the return spring on my BBK throttle body was pretty stiff compared to stock and I just figured the cruise had trouble holding it steady.... but it was so annoying sometimes that I just didn't use it.
