Default New drag times

1992 LT-1 with supercharger.

Got to the track on Saturday with the new Injectors and an initial tune. There is some spark still backed out while I address a small fuel pressure issue (so more to come!)

Anyway; I posted the following on my second run:

R/T .127
60' 2.175
330 5.671
1/8 8.435
MPH 91.96
1/4 12.649
MPH 118.83

Running street tires, 6 year old Good Year GS-C, 315-17 on the rear: no burn out, accidently left Traction (ASC) switched on (D'oh)

She pulls like a train and I think I could easily get into 11's if I improved my launch and my shifting.

From the numbers above - does anyone have any guidance?

Thanks!
Andy.

Ha Ha, I've forgot to turn off the traction control before too. Nice reaction time. I'm sure you will be in the 11s soon.

Get some Drag Radials for your rears... you'll gain half a second just from the added traction on your launch... you should be getting 1.9 in your 60' times, I believe, with the right traction. Burnouts are half the fun in drag racing

Yup, traction is the next culprit to address. Your mile an hour is telling you the engine is making plenty of power, so I'd concentrate on 60-footers. Tires and gear ratio. I'll bet there is around a half second to be found there.

The mph is a good gauge that tells you that you have a car that is capable of ET's in the sub 11.50 range and from the information that you supplied, you are getting a lot of tire spin.
Eliminate that and hang on!!!
Keep in mind that if you are racing at a NHRA sanctioned track, a roll bar will be required once you hit 11.49 or quicker.
