Default Headers need advice fast!

There is a guy locally selling a set of Hedman Street Headders, part number HED-68440 for the 84-91 Vette, i was wondering if they are worth the 100 bucks and if im going to have to do anything difficult to install them, and also how hard is it for a exhaust shop to relocate the C02 censors if neccessary? (is it?) Are these things any good? anyone have them on their car?

and oh ya, what do i do with the EGR? is it going to cause any problems if blocked off and how hard is it to block off?

Are they new or used? Summit has them for $139 new. I would not use a painted header. Get them Swain tech. coated. For install, run a search on them. If I remember right you need to do something different for the alternator mount. Also you'd need a Y pipe. If they don't come with an o2 bung, you can have one welded in. You can block off EGR if you wish to, it's just two simple plates to bolt on.

The alternator has a bar that ties the back of it into the exhaust manifold. You'll need to make a longer one because the header flange is thinner than the manifold flange. For the 02 sensor, Summit sells Hedman reducers with an 02 bung already in them for 17 bucks. Just make sure you get the right kind. Should be ball and socket. As for the EGR stuff, I'd get rid of it. In fact, I already have cause I've got coated Hedmans going on my car right now.

Only two things will be "difficult":
Removing the stock manifold.
Installing the headers.

JMO, I don't think those headers are worth the effort.
