No muffler, no resonator(?). x-pipe will definitely equal loud......

I have 3" exhaust, long tubes, high flow cats, and B&B resonator, no mufflers.....I can definitely be heard....

If you want obnoxiously LOUD here's the recipe. LT headers, 3" pipes to a X-pipe, 3" back to a pair of bullet mufflers (Dynomax Ultra-flo) and dump out from those. I can be heard for over a mile away. I've got to do some re-work to it so the MAN doesn't look so hard when I go idling by.

If you look up Melrose headers their full C4 system is basically what mine looks like, although their system uses cats, the bullets look similar.

Nice sound. Makes me want to put my cats back on to quiet mine down some.

If your friend installing the cam in the LT1 cannot recommend a cam to meet your needs, imagine his abilities with the tune.

Best of luck,
Aaron

I have cutouts after my resonator, so it sounds just like muffler eliminators. The exhaust is all stock besides that. It's not as loud as I think you want it. I want mine to be louder and its a daily driver. If I was you I would put some highflow cats on it and the muffler elims. Then it would be wicked loud. It's amazing how quiet those stock cats keep it.
