If you were doing the heads on a mild street engine, what would you replace the springs with cost effective wise? ( increasing ratio to 1.6 with stock cam)
Dual spring, aftermarket?
If you aren't planning a camshaft change, the LT4 springs would be a good choice. Also, they are very cheap, ~$40. If you plan on eventually doing a camshaft swap, you may want a better spring.

And although they list a different reainer for the LT4 springs, they'll work fine with the LT1 retainers. When I used the LT4 springs, I used my stock retainers with no issues. If you go cam later, I'm a real believer in the beehive springs for applications for which they're suitable. I've been using the CC 26918s for many, many miles now. Adequate spring pressure is important of course. But excessive pressure has no benefits. It will only cause unnecessary wear, parasitic HP loss, etc.
