Default 93 LT-1 TPS voltage, what should it be?

I've replaced the throttle postion sensor, the GM manual says adjust for .4 to .7 volts at idle, should be close to 5 volts at WOT. If I set this at idle I get 3.75-4.0 at WOT, if I adjust for WOT, I get 4.25 but 1.25 at idle. What gives?

4.25 is close IMHO. Take it for a test drive. Does it feel fine?

I hope I can explain this,
Try moving the whole TPS itself moving it forward, not just on the pivot points.
There should be some play to do this, if not and it's possible slot the holes with a file or drill bit and make it adjustable. I have done this before with the older style TPS, it takes some time but eventually you can get it in position where you want it. I used to keep my TPS set around .63v at closed throttle and I got over 4.5v at WOT.
Eckler's sells an adjustable TPS for the LT1 now you can try if all else fails.
good luck.

They are a pain. You really need to use a scan tool to see that it reads 0% at idle and 100% at WOT. The high voltage doesn't matter as long as the computer is reading 100% throtle. This is what I was told by Ed Wright.

I dont know too much about LT1's, but I thought they werent adjustable. Dosent the computer adjust for it automatically?

Umm.... I thought the LT1's aren't adjustable?

For an L98 though, no more than 0.68v at idle, and at least 4.80v at WOT.

Scorp, supposedly they are not, just as was the case with the Speed density ones on the L98, which is what my Camaro was. I slotted out the holes on it and made it adjustable, alot of guys did this. The reason I did it was to get over 4.5v at WOT which I was not getting before I slotted out the holes. Like I said it just worked out where the Tps was at .63v at idle where I got the highest reading at WOT. I actually had it as high as .73v closed throttle without setting off any of a code, which is supposedly what happens with anything over .68v.
Anyway like I was saying Eckler's now sells an adjustable tps for the LT1. I'm guessing it just has the slotted holes in it to allow for adjustment. I doubt it will make any difference performance wise unless youre not getting the proper voltage or 100% at wot.

BTW Scorp, if you still want the TPS screws I have them. They have been sitting on my desk for about a week now -lol. Just email me your address and I will drop them in the mail for you.
